From One Industry Event to a Full Content Library: Three Days of Video Production with Rademaker USA

Conference & Event Video Production at the Rademaker Experience Center near Chicago

Sometimes the best content opportunities happen when a company recognizes the value of having an experienced production team already on site.

Trade Street Media traveled to the Chicago area to work with Rademaker USA and capture the American Society of Baking Regional Meet-Up at the Rademaker Experience Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The original assignment centered around documenting the event and creating a polished event film.

But as production got underway, the opportunity became much bigger.

Rademaker’s team liked what we were creating and saw the potential to take advantage of our time, equipment and access to the facility. What began as an event video production expanded into three days of filming and content creation, ultimately producing a library of marketing assets Rademaker could use across LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital channels.

Capturing the American Society of Baking Regional Meet-Up

The ASB Regional Meet-Up brought baking-industry professionals inside Rademaker’s Experience Center for an afternoon of education, demonstrations and networking.

Rather than simply documenting people gathering in a room, our goal was to capture what made the experience valuable.

We filmed attendees interacting with Rademaker’s team, equipment demonstrations, hands-on activities, conversations and the machinery in operation. Interviews and extensive B-roll helped us tell the story of both the event and the people and technology behind it.

The resulting ASB–Rademaker Regional Meet-Up Event Film gave Rademaker a polished piece of content that could extend the life of the event well beyond the people who attended in person.

Turning Three Production Days Into Multiple Marketing Assets

One of the advantages of planning conference and corporate video production strategically is that a single shoot doesn’t have to result in a single video.

Once the event coverage was underway, we worked closely with the Rademaker USA marketing team to identify additional stories we could capture while the people, equipment and production resources were already in place.

Over the three days, Trade Street Media produced content for:

Going Beyond the Event Venue

Our production didn’t stop at Rademaker’s facility.

We also visited one of Rademaker’s customers to capture additional B-roll inside an operating bakery and manufacturing environment. Seeing the equipment and bakery production line working in a real-world setting gave us another layer of visual storytelling that couldn’t have been created inside a traditional conference venue.

This footage helped connect the technology being discussed and demonstrated at the Experience Center with the actual products and production environments Rademaker’s customers work with every day.

Multi-Camera Production, Motion Control, Drone and Photography

Producing this much content in three days required a flexible production approach.

We used multiple cameras, professional interview and roundtable audio, dynamic lighting, motion-control equipment and extensive cinematic B-roll to give the different pieces a consistent visual quality while still allowing each video to have its own purpose.

Drone footage provided additional interior and exterior perspectives of the facility, while photography captured the ASB event and gave Rademaker another collection of assets for digital marketing and communications.

We also recorded voiceovers with company executives, allowing us to build additional narrative-driven content during post-production.

The objective wasn’t simply to bring a lot of equipment. Every production tool was chosen to give Rademaker more ways to tell its story.

Close Collaboration From Pre-Production Through Delivery

A project with this many moving pieces depends heavily on communication.

Trade Street Media worked closely with Amy Estrada and the Rademaker USA marketing team throughout pre-production, during the three days on location and through the post-production process.

That collaboration allowed us to respond quickly as new content opportunities emerged.

Instead of arriving with a rigid shot list and leaving when the original assignment was finished, we were able to recognize opportunities together, adjust the production plan and make the most of the access we had to Rademaker’s people, facility, customers and technology.

That flexibility ultimately transformed one event assignment into a much larger content library.

Content Designed to Keep Working After the Event

Conferences, trade shows and industry events create something companies often don’t have during the rest of the year: access.

Your executives are together. Your customers are present. Industry experts are available. Equipment is operating. Conversations are happening. Your brand is surrounded by the people and experiences that make its story interesting.

That’s why we approach conference and event video production as more than simply documenting what happened.

The ASB Regional Meet-Up was the reason we came to Chicago, but it became the starting point for a much broader production.

In three days, Rademaker USA came away with an event film, an executive roundtable, a promotional trailer, a facility tour, an employee vignette, executive voiceovers, event photography, drone footage and an extensive library of B-roll from both Rademaker’s facility and a working customer bakery.

Those assets gave Rademaker content that could continue working across LinkedIn, YouTube, sales, marketing and future communications long after the event itself ended.
