Two Days of Video Production with Blood Law Firm in Waxhaw, NC
Two-day video production for Blood Law in Waxhaw, NC, featuring a multi-camera interview setup with cinematic lighting in a home setting, behind-the-camera framing of a lifestyle interview, and a monitor showing a sit-down attorney interview at the firm's office with professional lighting and audio.
We were contracted by Scorpion, a marketing agency based in California that we have the pleasure of partnering with on several projects a year throughout the country. This time they brought us back for a second round of production with their client Blood Law, a family law firm founded by Anna Blood with nine offices across North Carolina and South Carolina. It was a packed two-day shoot in Waxhaw, NC that covered a wide range of content in a short window.
Day One: Lifestyle Interviews at Home
The first day took us to the principal's home in Waxhaw for lifestyle-focused interviews. We set up a multi-camera configuration with cinematic lighting and dedicated audio capture to create a warm, personal feel that matches how Blood Law presents itself to clients. Family law is deeply personal work, and the production needed to reflect that. Sterile office lighting and corporate framing would have worked against the message.
Between interview setups, we captured b-roll of her family on their property. Lifestyle clips with the kids, the animals, the farm setting. This kind of footage gives a marketing team months of usable content for social media, website headers, and brand storytelling. It humanizes the attorney behind the firm in a way that a standard headshot or office tour never could.
Day Two: Office Production and Aerials
Day two shifted to the Blood Law office for a completely different tone. We filmed additional interviews with other attorneys on the team, then moved into capturing b-roll of the office in action using a mix of gimbal and tripod shots. Gimbal work through the hallways and workspaces gives the footage movement and energy, while locked-down tripod shots of the team interacting with clients and working at their desks provide the steady, professional framing that rounds out the edit.
We also flew drone to capture aerial footage of the office exterior and the surrounding Waxhaw area for establishing shots. These aerials set the scene in the final videos and give the viewer a sense of where the firm is rooted, which matters for a practice that serves families across a specific region.
Why Repeat Clients Matter
This was our second time producing for Blood Law through Scorpion, and that continuity makes a real difference. We already understood the firm's tone, the visual style that works for their brand, and how the team operates on camera. That familiarity means less time getting up to speed and more time creating content. It is one of the reasons we value long-term production partnerships, whether we are working directly with a client or through an agency like Scorpion.
Andrew and I always enjoy working with the Blood Law crew. They care about their clients and know how to communicate their message clearly. That kind of clarity from the client side makes our job easier and the final product stronger.
